There are even different types about the Do-dundi type coins. The majority is of Maratha origin and most of them of Nagpur (Amravati mint). Due to the much to large dies for those coins attribution remains a problem. Moreover when you realise thast this type was also largely counterfeited at Loharoo.
On page 70 Kulkarni mentions "From these letters we know that the D0-dundi and the Trisooli pice were counterfeited at Loharoo in the Punjab. The Do-dundi coins of Amravati mint were counterfeited in such a great number and brought into Amravati that today we come across more counterfeits than original coins". As you may observe, Indian numismatics isn't that easy and straightforward as one would like, but there seems always be exceptions to the rule.
