Comments

(en) Released by the RAM in 1982 to commemorate the Brisbane XII Commonwealth Games is this first ever $10 Sterling Silver Proof (.925) coin. It was released in a capsule in plush dark red case.

The RAM was having industrial issues at the time and subcontracted the pressing of some of the Proof Coins to a company called "Stokes & Son of Melbourne". The coins are differentiated only by the name printed inside the box.

Uncirculated versions were also released in a red vinyl wallet.
