José María Orellana Pinto (11 July 1872–26 Sept 1926) was president of Guatemala from 1921 to 1926 after leading a United Fruit Company–sponsored coup against his predecessor. He used his power to brutally repress unions for the benefit of large businesses. The Quetzal was established during his presidency.
