Projekt rewersu nie jest dobrze zrozumiały. Według Milliesa (1871: 105-106), niektórzy interpretują je jako stylizowane szable z flagi Aceh, podczas gdy inni postrzegają je jako stylizowane litery, prawdopodobnie مصروف maṣruf "pieniądze wymiany" od słowa صرف. Pierwsza interpretacja została powtórzona w Singh (1986: 538), a druga w Gumilar (2021: 8).
Wpisane lata odpowiadają panowaniu Alauddina Sulaimana Ali Iskandara Syah (1838-1857) w sułtanacie Aceh. Jego panowanie było jednak w dużej mierze nominalne, ponieważ de facto władzę sprawował Alauddin Ibrahim Mansur Syah, który później formalnie panował w latach 1857-1870.
