Tekst ustawy brzmi następująco:
"MONEDA DE COBRE
SE AUTORIZA AL GOBIERNO PARA EMITIR A LA CIRCULACION
20.000 PESOS DE LOS DECIMOS DE BUENOS AIRES
POR LA MITAD DE SU VALOR.
La Cámara de Senadores de la República Oriental del Uruguay
con previo acuerdo de la de Representantes,
en sesión de hoy ha sancionado con valor y fuerza de ley lo que sigue:
Artículo único.- Se autoriza al Poder Ejecutivo para emitir a la circulación para los cambios menores de un real, hasta la suma de veinte mil pesos de la moneda que se rescatase, conocida por décimos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, por la mitad de su valor escrito.
El infrascripto lo transcribe al Exmo. Gobierno para los fines consiguientes y le saluda con el más distinguido aprecio.

Senat Republiki Wschodniego Urugwaju, po uprzednim porozumieniu z Izbą Deputowanych, na dzisiejszym posiedzeniu uchwalił, z mocą ustawy, co następuje:
Tylko artykuł: Władza wykonawcza jest upoważniona do emisji do obiegu za drobną gotówkę, mniej niż 1 Real, do kwoty dwudziestu tysięcy Pesos monety, którą można odzyskać, znanej jako decimos de Buenos Aires, za połowę jej wartości nominalnej.
Niżej podpisany przesyła Ekscelencji Rządowi na jego cele i pozdrawia z wyższym uznaniem.
