Układ monachijski został zawarty 30 września 1938 r. przez Niemcy, Wielką Brytanię, Francję i Włochy. Porozumienie przewidywało niemiecką aneksję części Czechosłowacji zwanej Sudetami, gdzie mieszkało ponad trzy miliony ludzi, głównie etnicznych Niemców.
