(en) Printing is black on brown underprint at center. Portrait of Mencius, 372-290 BC. A Confucian Philosopher, described as the second sage. He is wearing a feather crown at right. Large number 5 at left. Red seven digit serial numbers at upper left and lower right.

Reverse

(en) Printing is brown. Building in center, Central Bank of Manchow, Hsinking. with border all around. Number 5 denomination in all four corners.
