These notes where issued due to the lack of silver during and after WWI, like in Denmark, where there also was a silver shortage. The bank issued notes for 1 Krónur notes instead of the useal (Danish) silver coins since people where hording silver.

P#18b: Serial number in red print with Prefix A on top of underprint.
P#18c: Serial number in red print with Prefix B in white field.
