(en) HCJ Refiners (HCJ) was a subsidiary of Highland Coin & Jewelry, launched by Jim Pavlakos in Melbourne, Florida, 1981. Highland Coin & Jewelry evolved into the Highland Mint, founded in 1989. Pavlakos had earlier founded the Golden State Mint in California.
