Kiedy Idriss II zmarł, jego najstarszy syn Muhammad został jego następcą. Za radą swojej babki Kanzy podzielił się królestwem ze starszymi braćmi, zatrzymując dla siebie Fez. Jego brat Isa otrzymał Wazeqqur i okoliczny region z dużymi kopalniami srebra. Jego liczne mennice, dzięki produkcji tych kopalń, uznały prymat Fezu (patrz Essai sur les Monnaies Marocaines autorstwa Yvona Méreaux - Casablanca 2014). Moneta ta była częścią jego kolekcji i jest pokazana na stronie 41 książki.
