Pałac Gubernatora jest jednym z najlepiej zachowanych przykładów nie tylko architektury i wzornictwa Puuc, ale także jednym z najlepszych przykładów prekolumbijskiej architektury Majów. Nie wiadomo, jakie było jego pierwotne przeznaczenie, ale jest ozdobiony wizerunkami boga deszczu Chaaca, a przy głównym wejściu znajduje się rzeźba nieznanego władcy na tronie.
