Dlatego też, na mocy ustawy z 04 sierpnia 1688 r., wartość srebrnych i złotych monet również wzrosła o 20%. Jednak w ciągu ~150 lat monety pozostały niezmienione, a monety obiegowe miały wartość ~20% powyżej znaku.
