Dzień Anzaca, będący zaszczytnym i świętym świętem, przypada 25 kwietnia każdego roku, w dniu lądowania wojsk australijskich i nowozelandzkich na półwyspie Gallipoli w 1915 roku. An honoured and sacred institution, Anzac Day falls on 25 April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915. Since 1916, it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honouring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defence Force personnel who have served in times of war and other operations. This year Vietnam Veterans are honoured. This coin is a continuation of the "Lest We Forget" series of coins issued by the Perth Mint and is the 15th one issued.

The release is mounted on a dark red card featuring a gold coloured emblem mirroring the flaming torch symbol on the coin. The card also features a watermark comprising the words ‘Lest We Forget’ and stylised laurel, a symbol of victory.
