50 Roubles Government Lottery Bond, 1982

Bonds were issued starting from January 1st, 1982 in 25 and 50 roubles denominations. 100 roubles bond was introduced in 1986.

Key conditions (summary of information printed on reverse side)

1. Bonds are issued for 20 years term from 1982.01.01 to 2002.01.01
2. Bonds can be freely purchased or sold in saving bank (сберегательная касса) offices
3. Bonds are issued in multiple emissions (разряд) worth 500 million roubles each.
4. Bonds are issued in 25 and 50 roubles denominations. Post 1986 emissions talk about 100 rouble denominations.
5. Interest rate is paid in form of lottery. Prize table is listed in point 7. Winners of 10000 roubles prizes are entitled to purchase Volga (GAZ-24, GAZ-3102). Winners of 5000 roubles prizes are entitled to purchase other car brand. 25 roubles bond gets half of lottery prize. 100 roubles bond counts as two 50 bonds.
6. 160 lottery rounds will be run for the duration of 20 years with 8 rounds each year.

8. Bonds are accepted for repayment til 2004.01.01.
9. Bonds are purchased at prices set by finance ministry of USSR. They are sold at nominal price.
10. Bond repayments and winnings are exempted from income tax.

After USSR collapse Russian Federation converted these bonds to their 1992 year issue bonds or repaid them at 160 roubles for 100 roubles rate with deadline set to end of 1994.
