Kijowska Akademia Mohylańska - pierwsza szkoła wyższa w Ukrainie założona w 1632 roku; największy ośrodek kształcenia ogólnego w XVII-XVIII wieku. Kształciła nauczycieli dla akademii słowiańsko-grecko-łacińskich, wychowawców duchownych i nauczycieli seminariów teologicznych. H. Skovoroda był jednym z najbardziej znanych absolwentów Kijowskiej Akademii Mohylańskiej.

Banknot ma dwa solidne paski zabezpieczające, szeroki i wąski. Szeroki pasek jest podzielony na trzy części na awersie. Wąski pasek jest widoczny tylko pod światło. Przy podświetleniu oba paski są widoczne i czytelne, a na nich powtórzone jest "500":
