Comments

(en) The token was minted by Johann-Christian Reich from Nuremberg.

Michel Hennin catalogue 'Histoire numismatique de la Révolution Française' lists the minting date of the token as December, 31, 1792. And there is a link that the date for this and similar tokens is estimated by legends and images that indicate the almost desperate situation of Louis XVI, in which he then found himself, being condemned, as well as the regrets inspired by the fear of his loss.

On January, 16, 1793, Louis XVI was sentenced to death, which took place on January, 21.
