Shihab-ud-Din Mahmud Shah II był synem Nasir Shaha i panował w latach 1510-1531 n.e. (AH 916 - 937) i był ostatnim władcą z dynastii Khalji. Sułtanat mocno podupadł w 1519 r. po ciągłych inwazjach cesarza Rajput Rana Sanga z Mewar. Ostatni władca Mahmud Szach II poddał się Bahadurowi Szachowi, sułtanowi Gudżaratu, po tym jak fort Mandu upadł na rzecz Bahadura 25 maja 1531 roku.
