Peter's Pence is, for the Catholic Church, a way of living communion with the Bishop of Rome.
This offering is a monetary donation made by the faithful and sent to the Pope to be redistributed in support of the mission of the Church and works of charity. In all Catholic dioceses and parishes, the donation is made during the celebration of the apostles Peter and Paul, normally on June 29.
