Frithuric, moneyer. Struck circa 963-967.

King in Mercia and Northumbria from 957, and King of all England 959-975, Eadgar was crowned King of England at Bath in 973 in the first coronation of an English King. His reign was largely free from Viking invasions, leading him to be given the sobriquet of 'The Peaceful'.
