Duża moneta modułowa drugiej reformy. Z drugiej pierwotnej emisji (517-518) oznaczonej granulkami.
Druga emisja pierwotna rozpoczęła się wraz z nowym cyklem indykcyjnym 1 września 517 roku i zakończyła się śmiercią Anastazego 9 lipca 518 roku.
Pentanummia drugiej reformy zostały wybite zgodnie z teoretycznym standardem wagi 2,27 g lub 1/144 funta rzymskiego.
Istnieją odmiany legendy, ale wszystkie opierają się na podstawowej formie "D N ANASTASIVS PP AVG"
