Wewnętrzny okrąg z koralików (43 koraliki) zawiera napis. Poniżej znajduje się cyfra arabska ٨ oznaczająca AH 1334 rok 8 (tj. 1342, choć Krause twierdzi, że jest to rok 1922 - czyli 1340).
UWAGA: 1/4 Piastre również Ghirsh. Zastępuje KM# 22 1/4 Piastre.

Hejaz to prowincja Arabii Saudyjskiej, która wcześniej była częścią Imperium Osmańskiego. W 1916 r. Husajn bin Ali, emir Mekki, poprowadził Wielką Arabską Rewoltę przeciwko Turkom, tworząc Królestwo Hejaz. Królestwo było jednak krótkotrwałe, ponieważ zostało podbite przez Abd Al-Aziza bin Sauda w 1925 roku, łącząc je z Nejdem i ostatecznie tworząc Arabię Saudyjską.
