ND (1282-1321) – (en) Bou • 21 mm2 g
Another classic early dinar modeled after the Venetian grosso but with a double cross instead of banner. Nicely toned. Some areas of weakness, otherwise, good very fine. Only 7 registered examples and a only type of King Milutin where, at least partially, Cyrillic is used to repeat the name of the king Uros, spelling: "up" on the left and "oш" on the right side. On this example letter "B" is on the left and "oш" on the right side. It either meant to be standing for kings name or that moneyer, possibly after kings death, simply chooses them for minting marks.

This is very rare and unique, so far only 1 of 4 known examples where saints name ends with VS. Letter E is missing and his shoulders are also very prominent, wide and square. Title REX is very, very small and double cross has thick shaft.

This is very rare and unique example without a common title REX that is normally featured down along the shaft of the double cross. It is not clear why kings title is omitted it could be moneyers error or it was issued before Milutin became king. Double cross shaft is very thin and Christ throne has slightly arched top which is normally straight or flat.

A contemporary imitation of a gross of Stefan Uros II Milutin. An attractive and particularly wild imitation without title REX being used. About extremely fine. Only 10 registered examples of which Jovanovic listed 3.
