W związku z tym, na mocy ustawy z 04 sierpnia 1688 r., wartość srebrnych i złotych monet również wzrosła o 20%. Jednak w ciągu ~150 lat monety pozostały niezmienione, a monety obiegowe miały wartość o ~20% wyższą od wartości nominalnej.
