Obverse

(en) A 1998 victory photograph of the Nan Wang Elementary School Little League team of Taitung County celebrating with cheers and cap-tossing after winning the Care Cup Baseball Invitational Tournament, photographed by Feng-rong Zhong of the Min Sheng Daily (United Daily News Group). The image was modified by the Central Engraving and Printing Plant; as a result, it differs slightly from the original photograph, and the number of players was reduced to eleven after the modification.

(en) Issued as part of the Fifth series of the New Taiwan dollar by the Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and was issued into general circulation on December 15, 2000. This is the original issue without the holographic stripe. Withdrawn from general circulation on August 1, 2007.
Official name of Taiwan is Republic of China. Denomination in Chinese is written as Yuan, officially in English it is New Taiwan Dollar.
The year of issue is given in the Chinese Republican calendar; year 89 corresponds to 2000 in the Gregorian calendar.
