Chociaż późniejsza miedziana biżuteria była ceniona niżej, srebrna biżuteria wydana w latach 1168-1300 miała zawartość srebra porównywalną z francuskim denarem.
Ghyssens (1971) przypisał ten typ do Saint-Omer, Tournai lub Middelburg, ale nowsze badania dają najbardziej prawdopodobne przypisanie Middelburg.
