Comments
Na Sint Maarten importowano wiele fałszywych Stuiverów, więc zdecydowano, że prawdziwe monety będą znakowane. Pierwsza próba została podjęta 29-12-1797 r. z pakietem 7 strzał. Obywatele zostali poproszeni o pokazanie swoich Stuiverów złotnikowi Da Assensamowi. Stuivers bez znaku zostały uznane za przestarzałe. Ponieważ znak był łatwy do podrobienia, został zastąpiony 3 dni później przez kwadratowe i okrągłe znaki STM. Ponieważ okres produkcji Stuiverów ze znakiem strzały był krótki i nie są znane żadne egzemplarze tych monet, wątpliwe jest, czy monety te rzeczywiście istnieją. Być może jest to powód, dla którego nie wspomina o nich Krause. Pridmore wątpi, czy te monety również były produkowane.
