(en) This Fine Silver (.999) Proof NCLT "C" mintmarked coin commemorates the 200th anniversary of the publication of Matthew Flinders’ journal ‘A Voyage to Terra Australis.’ his journal recounts a time when Australia was a vast unknown land for European settlers. The historic work was published the day after he died on 19/7/1814. The coin was released in a capsule in a plush box with limited edition certificate.



An Aluminium-bronze version of the coin was released by the RAM in various guises as follows...

In a four coin carded set with "C" Mintmark & [B], [M] & [S] privymarks.
Separately at the Brisbane (B), Melbourne (M), Sydney (S) & Perth (P) ANDA shows with corresponding Counterstamp.
At the RAM "Mint your own coin press" at the Royal Australian Mint Public Gallery in Canberra with a "C" mintmark.
