(en) On the obverse, the helmeted head is reminiscent of a bust of Mars from the denarius of P. Fonteius Capito struck in 55 BC (see link below). S. Scheers had not retained this hypothesis in his work in 1969 on the coins of Gaul inspired by that of the Roman Republic.
