Prawo przewidujące projekt tej monety określało jedynie pewne ogólne wytyczne dotyczące zawartości awersu i rewersu. Kiedy Carlos Mingo otworzył matryce do wybicia monety, strzałki były skierowane w dół, zgodnie z tradycją herbu monarchów katolickich.
Kiedy zauważono ten fakt, gabinet przyjął propozycję ministra sekretarza ds. ruchu (jedynej legalnej partii politycznej we frankistowskiej Hiszpanii), aby zmienić orientację strzałek w celu dostosowania ich do symboliki frankistowskiej, która przedstawiała strzały skierowane w górę, przyjmując je prosto z flagi Falange Española.
Minister Skarbu, Santiago Benjumea, miał za zadanie wysłać ustną notatkę do dyrektora mennicy, który natychmiast wstrzymał dalsze bicie do czasu otwarcia nowego zestawu matryc, tym razem ze strzałkami skierowanymi w górę. W okresie od 15 grudnia 1950 r. do 14 lutego 1951 r. wybito 990 000 sztuk ze strzałkami skierowanymi w dół ("19" i "51" w gwiazdach po lewej i prawej stronie España).
