Mintmasters' initials are featured on the coin reverse. These initials are not included on coins minted after 2007. There was a short period in 2001 when there was no acting director for the mint. A small part of this year's mintage features a star to the right of the former director's initials.
Reverse
Two main groups are known:
Die A - "1" in denomination thick, vertical line in 'K" short, one cut in left top leaf.
Die B - all details enhanced, "1" in denomination thin, vertical line in 'K" tall, two deep cuts in in left top leaf.
